Happy Customer service week

Happy Customer service week from us @ The Customer in naija! Well done to all the customer service heros. It's not easy but someone's got to do it! So today go the extra mile for your customers. Have sweets at the reception, give them a personal shout out! A freebie maybe? Whatever sweet comes to mind .. Im sure they will appreciate it and it will definitely lead to repeat business👍

Please don't take angry customers personally!

Hiya Guys and happy new month and for some of us It's National Girlfriend's Day! Today we are going to be talking about managing the angry, down right rude client! For professionals working in relationship management, sales and customer services, we get the displeased client now and then that want their issues resolved here and now! They scream, they curse, all at the top of their voices, unapologetically may I add First of all, Note to self.. DON'T TAKE IT PERSONAL! Because guess what, your client is not separating you from the entity you work for. Your Client is angry with the company you work for and not you directly. I know it can be hard to not let the insults and curses rub you the wrong way, but with practice and patience, you'll be able to remain cool while doing your best to convince your client that issues will be resolved in the most professional manner Steps to help you stay calm and professional Keep your cool Listen attentively and don'...

The extra mile

Hi folks!  I always get super excited when I see business owners going the extra mile to please clients! In this case, I was mighty surprised to see my panel beater bought me a steering wheel cover free of charge! I was really happy and felt really appreciated. Now do you think ill be going anywhere😊 plus he does such a great job always.. Now this is seemingly an apprentice knowing so much about client value and appreciation.. I think we can learn a thing or two.. don't you..👍👍

BEST PRACTICE WITH ZENITH

I always get that nostalgic feeling when I enter a zenith bank branch, It sure reminds me of the good ol days when I was a career hungry sales person chasing accounts and targets! haha! That's what I mostly remember. However recently I was reminded about the excellent customer service training given to the front desk staff and even up to the security at the  entrance That is one of the reasons Zenith remains one of the top notch banks in areas of customer retention owning to their unparalleled commitment to customer service They understand that retaining a customer doesn't just end at the sale but the customer cycle continues through to service delivery! Hats off to Zenith and I'll always remember you taught me how to b a hustler! 👊

A flair for customer service

Hi People! I was gobsmacked the other day to see that it doesn't take a graduate or some one literate to understand the concept of customer services What am i talking about.. Well I bought some oranges from a local mallam and one ended up being bad As the mallam was stationed on my street, as I walked past the next day, I let him know one of the oranges was bad.. He apologised and would you believe it.. Gave me two more.. ensuring they had to be good by doing the good ol squeeze test Needless to say I was shocked, impressed and had a big smile within The lesson: Listen to your customer, Value your Customer. This helps you keep your customer 😀 Have a great weekend folks and remain customer focused!

An Interrogation or a Service

Now I had to ask myself this question on a recent visit to a financial Institution.. "Is this an interrogation or a service" The security guard kept going on to a customer.. How did you find out about us Who led you hear Why did you come here He had to answer all these questions before being booked in with a chat to a financial adviser In the background, a member of staff kept screaming at the security man (Don't Forget to let me know when my customer comes in oh!) It's really sad to see the inept behavior of staff working in supposedly big brands in the Industry , a far cry from the Image being displayed through advertising and marketing channels A good way to checkmate this will be to have exit interviews carried out by independent and outsourced customer service agents where walk in customers are asked about how they would rate the services received from the service provider Needless to say , the interrogated prospective client felt downr...
