It's with mixed feelings of disgust and anger that I recount my most recent horrendous experience with UBER
The driver had picked me up from my office and before we left, he had checked his bonnet over and over again and I asked if all was good and he said all good
Halfway through our journey, the vehicle packed up and he proceeded to call his mechanic and requested I pay the bill for the journey so far. I was so upset that I was going to miss my meeting and told him point blank I would not pay and would have to settle the issue with UBER. To my dismay, he matched my anger with anger and a very unapologetic attitude almost eager to engage in a fist fight if I had provoked him further.
Dear readers, I had to involve the police who were luckily parked close by.
In the end, the police escorted me to take a cab and although I chose to comply to pay the UBER driver off for the journey so far, he said he didn't want the money. I left with a promise to report the matter to UBER and ensure his license as a driver be revoked.
He must have had a rethink-of his absurd outlandish behavior, because he called after I had reached the office apologizing for the Incident. Maybe this had to do with the poor ratings I gave of his service via UBER's online platform. I now struggle deciding on if to take the matter further and really ensure his license be revoked because to be honest, this person has no business being in a service role.
I think UBER and all drive share apps should think of introducing psychological and behavioral testing for drivers. You may just be saving a life
